Rx Ballroom Dance at Dance Daly Ballroom offers specialized ballroom dance classes designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, and other movement or cognitive disorders.
Class Description
Our program blends the structure and artistry of ballroom dance with movement strategies that support improvements in posture, balance, coordination, memory, and confidence.
Each class focuses on helping participants move safely while building strength, mobility, and independence. Through guided exercises and dance patterns, members work on essential movement skills such as:

Located in the heart of Mission Viejo, Dance Daly Ballroom provides a spacious and welcoming studio environment that is ideal for movement classes. This location is located in Gateway Plaza, behind the Baja Fresh and Starbucks restaurants.
The studio offers smooth dance floors, comfortable seating areas for rest, and convenient parking nearby. This location serves members throughout Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Laguna Hills, and surrounding South Orange County communities.

Instructor
Amy Whyatt brings over a decade of professional dance teaching experience to Rx Ballroom Dance. Originally from the United Kingdom, Amy has extensive experience teaching ballroom dance to students with special needs and diverse learning styles.
Her compassionate and supportive teaching approach focuses on building confidence, improving movement foundations, and creating a welcoming space where participants feel encouraged to grow and succeed.
Amy teaches the Foundational Movement class on Mondays, helping members develop the essential movement skills that support safe and confident dancing.

Alexandra Hopwood,
Senior Instructor
Alexandra Hopwood is a skilled ballroom dance instructor who is passionate about helping participants improve mobility, coordination, and confidence through dance.
Her classes focus on encouraging movement progression while maintaining a supportive and uplifting environment. Alexandra teaches both the Tuesday Traditional Rx Ballroom Dance class and the Wednesday Intermediate/Advanced class, guiding members as they continue to develop their movement and dance skills.

Bailey Carrillo,
Senior Instructor
Bailey Carrillo brings energy and enthusiasm to the Rx Ballroom Dance program while helping participants feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor.
Her teaching emphasizes rhythm, coordination, and safe movement progression while creating a joyful class environment where participants can celebrate their progress.
Bailey teaches the Thursday Traditional Rx Ballroom Dance class at Dance Daly Ballroom.

The Intermediate/Advanced class is designed for participants who are ready to challenge themselves with more complex dance patterns, increased endurance, and enhanced coordination. This class helps members continue progressing their balance, movement confidence, and cognitive engagement through dance.
