Even though Dave is very active, he struggles with the same thing most Parkinson’s patients struggle with: the disease robs the brain of dopamine and getting the left and right coordination centers going first thing in the morning can be slow and challenging. During our cha cha, he would consistently lament: “my brain understands but my feet aren’t listening!” But in our class, we don’t hold back!
Within three weeks, we learned several patterns including syncopation, forward and back movement, side to side as well as rotation. Wouldn’t you know…Dave’s feet that weren’t listening at first now cha-cha-cha with greater ease and rhythm.
We are thrilled to see such great progress with each and every one of our participants. Will you be next?
